Romsey Mill Half Marathon
My name is Minnie and I have
lived in Strethall for 16 years. I have recently begun to train for the
Amsterdam ½ Marathon in October. I would really like to do this in support of
the Parish’s charity of the year, “Romsey Mill.” This Cambridgeshire charity
focuses on creating opportunities for the most disadvantaged young people in
the local area. I have been amazed to discover the huge range of people that
Romsey Mill aims to help. Starting from pre school children, to those on the
autistic spectrum and even young parents who need vital education to learn how
to thrive at this stage of life. The Charity’s pro-active schemes seem to be
very in line with what is needed at this changing time of society.
I am currently a pre
schoolteacher, moving to become a teaching assistant in September so this
charity is one that is close to my heart. Everyday I see the importance of
nurturing and good education from day one. This is not just in terms of
teaching 1,2,3 and A, B, C but more importantly the desire to be a good citizen
and always try your best to enhance society.
If you
would like to donate, any amount would be so greatly appreciated, please visit
the page mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/minniefolland1
to give
directly to the charity through the parish scheme.
